The need to professionalise local government practices by building capacities and upskilling of local government practitioners is paramount to the aspirations of sustainable development. The association is working with the Africa Local Government Academy to localise for Southern Africa this capacity building vehicle, that will focus on building capacity of the local government practitioners as well as professionalising the local government.
